This site offers support resources to help individuals negotiate a transition in a manner that best fits their needs and convictions. We do not advocate any one particular path but acknowledge that there are many legitimate pathways that can be personally and spiritually fulfilling.
May I also recommend the book Understanding the Borderline Mother by Christine Ann Lawson. Certainly not all, but some CS mothers have Borderline Personality Disorder characteristics. This book has helped me a lot.
I also have trouble around Mother’s Day, since I felt betrayed when my mother suddenly decided to move us to Principia, and she continues to deny/rationalize any harm or troubles that happened to me or others there. Before that we had a good relationship. Last Mother’s Day I called to wish her a happy day and ended up getting in a huge fight over this stuff… avoided that this year, luckily.
